THE Chairman of the Igando- Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, organized an emergency meeting with the CDC and CDA's of the community.
In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman on Media, Comrade Oseni, the purpose of the meeting, which took place at the multipurpose hall of the Secretariat, was to discuss issues pertaining to the census Enumeration Areas Demarcation (EAD) sensitization, boost in internal generated revenue (IGR), regular environmental sanitation, and office achievement update.
The council boss was represented at the meeting by the Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Mojisola Ayinke Badmus, who mentioned that the Federal Government's revenue allocation to the Local Government and the IGR could not meet all the obligations of the local council, hence the need to boost the IGR.
The stakeholders, in turn, assured the council boss of being ready to cooperate with the council officials to boost the economy of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
Stakeholders present at the meeting include; the community heads, CDA, CDC, and religious leaders.
