JOSEPH Boyle has admonished school students to shun the danger of engaging in internet fraud, as he says this will not guarantee success in their lives.

Boyle, Media and Communications Manager of Quanta Africa, gave the charge while speaking as a facilitator at the maiden edition of the Alimosho Tomorrow Leaders Conference, which was held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Lagos Theatre, Igando.

He admonished the students to rather invest their time and energy in learning and acquiring relevant tech skills, adding that this will earn them a decent living, where they do not always have to watch their backs out of fear of law enforcement agencies and their officials.

Delivering his address, Boyle highlighted the rich economic and financial gains of product designing, affiliate marketing, and other tech skills. He also gave a breakdown of the average income a person can generate if skilled in these fields.

The Computer Engineering graduate, while sharing his personal experience, admitted that during and after his 5-year study at the university, he discovered his passion for writing which he took advantage of to make a name for himself, and also as a means of financial support. He added that his works appeared in both local and international magazines.

“The first step to achieving anything worthwhile is to find that particular thing you can do effortlessly,” he said, further adding that regardless of one's field of study, the tech world still remains an avenue to make more money legitimately.

He continued by saying that due to the rapid change in times, the world is now in the era of what he termed “tech money,” and he encouraged young ones present to take advantage of it early enough so that they can acquire enough knowledge to become financially stable even before they get to the peak of their lives.

The tech expert also extended an internship opportunity to interested students who would want to be trained, reiterating that the classes would run for a few hours during the weekends, after which successful trainees would then be paired with mentors who would further groom them for gainful employment opportunities.

Over 50 students registered after the training, with others indicating interest to register subsequently.

The maiden Alimosho Tomorrow Leaders Conference organised by Alimoshotoday.com tagged 'Walking the Pathway to Lifetime Success’ brought together 375 senior secondary school students from 26 private and public schools in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
