Akinsanya bags NAEAP National Award, dedicates it to Almighty Allah

“I did promise my dear people of Igando-Ikotun that I would dedicate my tenure to leave a lasting legacy in the development of the area; and this I must do,” Akinsanya said.

THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has been awarded as the Best Local Government Chairman in Nigeria and also the Best Chairman supporting education in Lagos State at the first annual education symposium organised by the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning(NAEAP).

According to a correspondence signed by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Comrade Oseni, the National President of NAEAP, Professor Hauwa Imam, while speaking at the event which took place on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Regency Event Place Ikeja, said that the award was based on merit, adding that the committee went round the 774 local governments in Nigeria to physically assess projects carried out by the chairmen since they assumed office.

“At the end of that tour of the 774 local governments in Nigeria, Igando-Ikotun LCDA happened to be the best as we were able to see some viable projects,” she said.

While appreciating the organization for the honour bestowed on him, Akinsanya reiterated that the journey to providing a sustainable environment for the residents of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA was tough, adding that he was able to overcome it because of the continued support of the electorate.
