THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Ayinde Lasisi Akinsanya, on Friday, April 29, 2022, received an award from the organization for Fight against Corruption for his outstanding commitment to fighting corruption in the council area,
A correspondence signed by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Comrade Oseni, states that the organisation claims that the fight against corruption would be beyond the usual naming and shaming, adding that those who, notwithstanding the attractiveness of corruption, bribery and other forms of sharp practices, took a life of transparency, honesty and integrity would be duly recognised and honoured, as a form of inspiration for other council chairmen to follow.
“While corruption, that is now synonymous with Nigeria, has become worrisome, the truth however remains that there are still Nigerian political office holders that are nonetheless forthright and honest which Comrade Akinsanya happens to be among them,” the correspondence reads.
Comrade Akinsanya, in his acceptance speech, appreciated the organization for the honour bestowed on him and pledged to continue to fight corruption in the council area and in society at large.
