OBALOLUWA Okeowo, 9, and Felicia Okache, 9, both pupils of DeVasco Children School, Egbeda, are the first two pupils to make the Alimosho kid-broadcasters Initiative list.

The Alimosho kid-broadcasters Initiative, founded by AlimoshoToday.com, is an appealing all-kids-affair initiative that promotes the participation of community kids in community development through the art of news reporting and acting.

The initiative, according to one of the editorial members of the leading community news site, will feature amazing school kids every week who will broadcast the site's news stories of the week and also give their recommendations to societal challenges in a minute or two.

The Publisher of AlimoshoToday.com has said the participating kids will be selected from schools in Alimosho on merit. Obaloluwa and Felicia are amazing kids who got the first slot.

Obaloluwa and Felicia always would broadcast the school news during their school's end of the year party while the invited parents and guests listened away. The two are a perfect match. They will talk casually in between the news, discussing societal issues and how profer intelligent solutions that address these issues. It was during such events that the duo were discovered.

"The idea is to showcase the potentials of amazing kids in Alimosho and how they can contribute to community development by doing amazing, extraordinary things if encouraged, said Mr Akinola, Publisher of AlimoshoToday.com.
