THE disqualification of the zazu crooner, Portable from the award nomination list of Nigeria’s biggest music award, The Headies has continued to generate reactions and dominate conversations in the media, with many questioning the rationale behind his removal.

Portable, whose original name is Habeeb Okikiola, was at first nominated in two categories which are the ‘Rookie of the Year' and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ but following his disqualification, he won't be partaking in this year’s award ceremony.

The reason behind the artist’s disqualification is due to an ongoing police investigation after the artist in a viral video claimed he founded a notorious gang; the ‘One million boys.'

Also, the artist had threatened to kill other nominees should he fail to win the award after the nomination list was released.  With Portable out of the nomination list, the ‘Rookie of the Year' category is now left for  Av, Fave, Magixx, and Ugocci.

Also, with his exit, the second category is left for Bella Shmurda, Mohbad, Naira Marley, and Goya Menor among others
