Nigerian music star and Grammy award-winning act, Burna Boy, during a radio interview, blamed hypocrisy for the reason Marijuana is yet to be legalised in Nigeria.
Marijuana often referred to as weed has been revealed by a survey as the most consumed drug in Nigeria with over 10% of the population consuming it.
During a conversation about it in an interview with Home Grown Radio in Los Angeles, USA, Burna Boy said he believed that hypocrisy is the reason Marijuana is not legalised in Nigeria.
In his words, "It's not a zero-tolerance. It's like everybody does it, but no one wants to be the one that is seen with it. It's just kind of hypocritical out there. Everybody smokes weed."
"Right now, everybody is relaxed, everybody does it, and everybody knows that. It's just a topic no one wants to talk about", he added.
The 30-year-old also revealed that he loved coming to Los Angeles because Marijuana is legal there.
