Residents applaud LG on completion of Ogunlana street

Residents of Ogunlana Street have applauded the government on the completion of the road rehabilitation and are imploring the authorities to look into other streets that equally need urgent attention.

Residents of Ogunlana Street have applauded the government on the completion of the road and are imploring the authorities to look into other streets that equally need urgent attention.

AlimoshoToday had earlier reported that shop-owners, motorcyclists and residents of Ogunlana Street in Egbeda have been lamenting the bad state of the road, especially when there is a heavy downpour.

In another report, shop-owners and cyclists on the street also bemoaned the effects of the bad road on their businesses, especially during the rainy season.

Speaking with AlimoshoToday after the completion of the road rehabilitation, Mrs Abiamowe, a resident, said: "The way they repaired this road for us is lovely. We like it. We want Nigerian roads to be like this- the streets, the major roads and highways. Before, it was a story we cannot tell but it is lovely now."

Another woman named Patience Innocent prayed: "May God bless whoever facilitated the repair of this road. As God touched the heart of the person that repaired this road at an unexpected time, God should touch their hearts to repair Goddy Love Street, too.

"Whenever rain falls on Goddy Love Street, it destroys people's homes and properties. May the Almighty touch their hearts to repair the road and may the Most High bless them as they do so."
