OVER the weekend, Okun Alimosho, a non-profit organisation located in Alimosho under the aegis of the AfroVanguard, hosted three spectacular events that left attendees in awe—showcasing the vibrancy of young talent, innovation in tech, and the excellence of local businesses in Alimosho.
The weekend kicked off with the Ogidi-Omo Concert, where children from the Alimosho Summer School and Next Generation Genius lit up the stage with energetic performances in music, dance, and drama. Their confidence and creativity were on full display, alongside captivating project presentations in media and technology. The audience was treated to a thrilling exhibition of the skills the children had honed over the summer, leaving everyone inspired by the next generation of innovators and performers.
The event also saw the presentation of certificates to the Alimosho Summer School students, as well as the MediaPro and Techome students, who were officially inducted into the Membership Forum—a proud moment for the members.
The weekend concluded with the highly anticipated Alimosho Business Awards, where top businesses in the community were recognised and celebrated. After a competitive process of nominations and voting, winners were awarded for their contributions to Alimosho’s growth and development. It was an evening filled with excitement, networking, and celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit that drives the community.
