A statement signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, reiterated that Akowonjo Road will be cordoned off at Jimoh/Akinremi junction for drainage works, adding that the process will eliminate flooding on Akowonjo Road.

In the same vein, the commissioner implored motorists outbound Akowonjo to make a right turn after Sobo Bus Stop (by Tastee Chicken/Mega Vision Plaza) into Lambe Kudaisi Street to link Alhaji Olumide inwards Oni Street and access Fajumobi Street to connect Odebunmi/Micom axis to proceed with their journey.

While assuring that the officials of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will manage movement during the course of the maintenance works, the Commissioner appealed to motorists to cooperate with the LASTMA operatives to minimise inconveniences during the period.

Oladeinde also enjoined the motoring public to obey all traffic signs and drive with care along the axis to ensure the successful completion of the project.
