THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has celebrated with the residents of Alimosho as they commemorate Nigeria’s democracy day, adding that June 12 remains the people's day.
The council mayor, in his felicitation message dated Monday, June 13, 2022, said; “It is a day chosen by the people because of the people's will.
“Despite the event that happened way back in 1993, the reward of the event is what we witnessed at the just concluded APC primaries, where our father, our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a landslide victory over other contestants from the North, East, West, and across the Country.
“Chief MKO Abiola did not die in vain; the legacies of unifying Nigeria reverberated at the convention and the role played by the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot be wished away.
“When Nigerians lost hope, Asiwaju remained committed to the struggle, the dream, and the hope; he was tenacious and focused.
“I am using this medium to congratulate the good people of Alimosho Local Government, home and abroad on the day of celebrating democracy all over Nigeria that the gains of June 12 will get to the doorstep of all Nigerians.”
