THE Executive Chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has presented the members of the Community Development Committee, CDC, the CDAs and the entire community with a cheque of N5 million to the CDC Chairman, Ven. Adetunji Adewuyi, in support of its intended project.
The cheque presentation took place towards the end of the general stakeholders peace and security meeting held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Local Government Secretariat in Akowonjo.
Expressing his satisfaction with the way and manner the CDC is being run, the council Boss said the only way to encourage the CDC is by supporting them towards the actualisation of their projects and activities, thereby boosting the member's morale.
Appreciating the council Chairman's generosity, Ven Adetunji Adewuyi, the CDC Chairman, affirmed that the successes recorded by the CDC are all thanks to him for his timely interventions and encouragement just as the day's surprise grant.
According to him, with the grant the committee has just received, the construction of the CDC office structure in Alimosho will be able to commence immediately. He consequently prayed for the council Chairman that God would surprise him with good things.
Recall that a few weeks ago the Executive Chairman assigned a parcel of land to the CDC for the construction of its office building.
