The Free Eye Cataract screening that was organized by the Alimosho Local Government Area under the authority of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon, in collaboration with the International Islamic Relief Organisation, has been extended indefinitely until every intended beneficiary has been attended to.
This new development was announced on Monday, January 23, 2023, as more beneficiaries came for the screening which was intended to end on the same day.
Speaking to the gathering of intended beneficiaries, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon said, "We have a sole aim for this program, which is to ensure that every intended person opens their eyes.
“Sticking to this aim, with the number of intended persons still showing interest, the screening period will be extended indefinitely. Nothing will derail us from actualising the aim."
