Alimosho Year 2021 Spelling Bee Competition lauded as faultless

The Executive Chairman, Alimosho  Local Government Hon Jelili Sulaimon has congratulated all participants and winners of the spelling bee competition (preliminary) held at the Council secretariat.

The competition which is a preliminary to a state wide finals was won by Master Daniel Gerard of Egbeda Primary School in the Primary category, while Abiola-Amid Great of Shasha Community Secondary School won the competition in the Secondary category.

In her address, the Chairperson Hajia Kabirat Sulaimon affirmed that the Spelling bee competition has come to stay considering its impact in the lives of Lagos State students. She therefore urged parents to take their children education serious especially, English studies.

She consequently, appreciated the initiator of the competition, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and all other Lagos State First ladies after her, for sustaining the programme till date.

In addition, she specifically appreciated Mrs Ibironke Sanwo-olu, the incumbent Lagos State First Lady, for adding flavour to the programme. 

Other notable personalities at the programme include the Vice Chairman, Alimosho Local Government, Hon Akinpelu Johnson, the Executive Secretary, State Primary Education Board, Mrs Airat Alamu, the Council Manager, Alimosho Local Government, Mr E.B Akinbami, the HODs, school teachers, among others.
