THE All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. (Barr) Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK) alongside the Executive Chairman of Alimosjo LGA, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon, on Saturday, September 24, 2022, met with the 2008-2011 forum of Councillors in preparation for the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Reports reaching Alimoshotoday state that, the Councillors, who are elated at having the opportunity to meet Ayuba before the general election, pledged their unalloyed loyalty to his candidacy and promised to work very hard for his success at the polls.
Representatives of the forum, who spoke at the meeting, emphasised the need for them to be carried along in the entire campaign activities as a body, adding that though, few of them are aggrieved due to the attitude of some of their leaders, as a body, they are willing and ready to put all the issues behind them and go all out for the actualisation of the election of Mayor KK into the green chamber.
In his address, Hon. Ayuba appreciated the members, stating that the relationship among the members is highly commendable and appreciable despite the number of years they have left office.
Mayor KK, who was a Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State, added that all the requests presented are well noted and will be worked on.
He, however, pleaded with all aggrieved members to set aside the leadership differences and work together as a body.
Hon. Ayuba appealed for a united Alimosho, stressing that all party members should do away with hate speeches before and during the electioneering campaign.
Jelili, on his part, apologized to all aggrieved persons and urged them to remain steadfast with the forum by meeting frequently.
As a way of encouraging the forum as a member, he granted them the use of the Alimosho Local Government Secretariat for their meetings.
In his words, the Council Mayor said all hands must be on deck to win the 2023 elections for all APC candidates across the nation.
"Everybody must engage in this election, everyone must be involved and bring their wealth of experience to play.
"We should team up in this election to get enviable votes for Alimosho than the past elections to enable us to get more political slots from the state and federal level," he said.
