Grace Morenike Ogundipe, a student living in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos, was knocked down by a hit and run driver of a Sports Utility Van (SUV) early in the morning yesterday.
Grace was on her way to school to sit for her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
She was hit on Idimu Road inwards Orisunbare on her way to Olorunfunmi Senior High School.
Speaking with AlimoshoToday after receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, Grace said: "It was a jeep that hit me and he did not wait to show any care. He was just going on his own as if nothing happened."
When asked if her school principal had been alerted, Grace said: "No, he is not aware, but one of my teachers is aware of it."
Grace has, however, completed her examinations today after writing her Catering Crafts exam. She later went back to school yesterday to sit for her examination, AlimoshoToday can report.
