Rotary club of Egbe installs 18th president

THE Rotary Club of Egbe, District 9110 Nigeria, has installed its 18th President, Rotarian Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi.

Rotarian Lasisi, who is also the Leader of the Legislative arm of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, was Installed over the weekend at Idimu Multipurpose Hall.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo, who was the Chairman of the occasion, congratulated the President and members of the club for a successful Installation, noting that Rotary Club across the globe has brought lots of development to their immediate communities.

He also pledged to support the club achieve its target goal for the year 2020/2021 and beyond.

In his acceptance speech, the President enumerated the club proposed projects to be executed in 2020/2021 Rotary year.

The projects include the End Polio campaign, free surgical/medical outreach, empowerment for women and youths, free life jacket distribution, Rotary family health days, renovation and purchase of medical equipment for Agodo primary health centre among others.

He, therefore, called for individuals, club, companies, private and government partnership to enable the club to achieve the projects for the benefit of Egbe-Idimu people, Lagos and Nigeria the world at large.

Also in attendance at the instalment ceremony were the Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing Alimosho Constituency 02, Hon. Kehinde Joseph; Chairman, PCRC Ikotun Police Station, Ademola Adeshina; Pass Assistant District Governor (PAG) Rotn. Lanre Shoyinka; PAG Femi Adenekan among others.
