Idimu High-Rise Rotary gets new Charter President

THE Rotary Club of Idimu High-Rise, District 9110 Nigeria, has inducted a media practitioner and Child Rights Advocate, Mr Bankole Shakirudeen Adeshina, as its new Charter President.

The Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rotarian Bola Oyebade, who conducted the exercise, also handed over the Certificate of Incorporation of the Club to the new President.

The Rotary District Governor in his speech said the chartering of the Rotary Club of Idimu High-Rise has increased the statistics of Rotarians in his District, which covers Lagos and Ogun State, with the addition of 25 more members.

He said the current number of Rotarians in District 9110, Nigeria, are around 3, 351 and admonished good-spirited Nigerians to join the “International Humanitarian Organisation of over 1.2million volunteers to continue to spread hope and kindness across the world."

“There are total of 109 Rotary Clubs in our District at the moment. Of course, we have a goal to expand by 50 per cent of the current figure, hence the importance of this addition, the Rotary Club of Idimu High-Rise.

“Interestingly, more Rotary Clubs will definitely mean more interventions in the communities and more hopes and kindness to the less privileged,” he said.

The event, which was well attended by the Rotary District Leadership, including the District Governor-Elect, Rotarian Remi Bello, and the District Governor-Nominee, Rotarian Omotunde Lawson, also featured the induction of the Board of Directors and members of the club and the unveiling of the club’s Strategic Growth Plans.
