ALIMOSHO Federal House of Representatives Aspirant, Ambassador Kaokab Ibraheem Abayomi Aroworatira, has commiserated with the people of Isheri-Olofin and the royal house over the death of His Majesty, Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun, who died today Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the age of ninety-four (94) years and having spent over thirty-seven (37) years on the throne.

While extolling the virtue of the Monarch during his reign, Kaokab, in a condolence note, reiterated that the late monarch stood for unity, equity, fairness, and justice.

He also mentioned that the death of Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun calls for sober reflection, not only to the people of Isheri-Olofin, but perhaps the state and the country at large due to the Monarch’s contributions in the area of peace, economic growth, and sustainable development.

He maintained that his contributions to the peaceful co-existence and unity among the Awori people cannot be forgotten in a jiffy and in years to come.

"Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun was a bridge builder who got across ethnic, cultural, and religious divides to promote peace and unity, not only in his domain but the state at large.

"His style of leadership, which was characterised by fairness to all, objectivity, moderation, and a burning commitment to the sustainable development of his people, the state and the nation at large, had impacted most positively on the polity.

"He was one of the most admirable apostles of inter-ethnic understanding and cohesion, inter-religious accommodation, tolerance and inter-cultural co-operation," Kaokab notes.

"On behalf of my family, I solemnly extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire Balogun royal family and the people of Isheri-Olofin. I pray Almighty Allah grant the late monarch Al-Janah Fridaus", he concludes.

Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun, who was once the Chairman of Alimosho Council of Obas, ascended the throne of his fathers in 1984.
