Alimosho students to embrace LASUBEB's remote learning

FOLLOWING the decision of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) to seek the buy-in of School-Based Management Committees (SBMC) to blend normal classroom teachings with remote learning, Alimosho students have reportedly capitalised on it to learn.

This is because it serves as part of intervention strategies to recover the learning period lost to school closure.

Earlier in the week, LASUBEB's Chairman, Mr Wahab Alawiye-King, had directed all parents to endeavour to get their wards to learn on WhatsApp and radio.

He said: "Your child should be directed to work on quizzes for Maths, English, Science, and Social Studies through WhatsApp."

"Tune-in to EKO Fm at 3:15 pm for a special edition of EKOEXCEL Radio lessons. The lessons are fun and educative!" he added

He also added: "Lastly, your child should tune to LTV at 5:00 pm for a new episode of "The Classroom In Your Home' with our teachers.

"LASUBEB is here to support you and your child through this challenging time."

According to sources, Olorunfunmi Senior Grammar, Ikotun Senior High and Community Senior High Schools in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, (LCDA) have already got their learners sensitised in order to participate fully in the remote learning.

One of the sources who spoke in confidence with AlimoshoToday said: "We have reached out to the parents through WhatsApp and they gave their feedback.  But we on our own part are participating 100 per cent."
