Stakeholders in Alimosho politics yesterday met with the executives of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to pledge their loyalty to the Lagos State APC Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Abdulahi Ayinde Enilolobo and the National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Special Assistant to the Igando-Ikotun LCDA on Media and Publicity, Comrade Eniola Badmus Oseni, made this known in a statement.
Storming the State Party Secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba, the stakeholders lent their voice to the recent happenings in Alimosho Federal Constituency and to clear the air that there was never any rancour or issues within the party structure in Alimosho.
Recall that Youths in Alimosho Local Government Area had unanimously endorsed the Prince of Isheri-Idimu, Idris Balogun, popularly known as Oluomo Kafata, to contest for and represent their constituency in the Federal House of Representatives in the 2023 General Elections, after some chaotic divide within the party.
According to Badmus, the "entire" structure of Alimosho Federal Constituency ranging from all the 36 Ward Chairmen, 36 Ward Youth Leaders, 6 LGA Party Chairmen, 6 LGA Executives, 36 Women Leaders, 6 Council Chairmen, 6 Vice Chairmen, 6 SLGs, 36 Councillors, the Supervisory Councillors, 2 State Cabinet Members, 2 State House of Assembly Members and the 2 NASS Representatives were in attendance at the meeting.
Speaking on behalf of the entire team, Hon. Prince Bisi Yusuff of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) Alimosho Constituency 01, extensively introduced all the organs present to the State Executives, urging the leadership of the party to shun those hypocrites and imploring the State Executives to beam their searchlight and see for themselves what they've brought to the table.
"Those causing the unrest are those with no electoral value, as they are just social media politicians," he said.
"Alimosho the Tinubu's country remains one and we will never do anything contrary to what our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our symbol, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Argbesola and our own erudite Apex Leader, Abdulahi Ayinde Enilolobo have laid down. We remain with the party and whoever wants to cause any chaos in whatever form will be seriously frowned at," Yusuff added.
Responding to the yearnings of the team, Alhaji Tunde Balogun welcomed the team and appreciated them for being calm despite all the attacks and fake news from various angles. He urged them to continue on that path, as the State Executive Committee is presently on top of the issue and everything would be resolved in due course.
"I'm very excited to receive this great and genuine party structure from the political nucleus of Lagos State, Alimosho Federal Constituency. We shall resolve all lingering issues as a matter of urgency, " the State Chairman averred.
"In Alimosho Federal Constituency, we aren't miscreants and we will keep adhering strictly to what will accelerate the development of our dear federal constituency," he assured.
