Lagos State Government has commended the Joint Action Committee of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU), Lagos State University Chapter for the decision to suspend it's strike action.

The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Lagos State University (LASU) Chapter, on Thursday suspended an indefinite strike over outstanding arrears of minimum wage and other demands.

AS part of efforts to encourage the teaching and learning of languages in schools, especially Yoruba Language which is the dominant mother-tongue of the State, Lagos State Government has collaborated with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) towards providing educational learning materials to schools.
