THE award was in recognition of Sanwo-Olu roles in promoting the real estate sub-sector in Lagos and for improving housing and infrastructural development in the state.
The Publisher of the magazine, Mr Seye Kehinde described Gov. Sanwo-Olu as “a major catalyst in the all-round development of the real estate sub-sector in the nation’s economic hub, Lagos State.”
He went on to say that, “Lagos State, under the administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has made clear statements on its avowed commitment to the provision of decent and affordable housing for Lagosians, thereby enhancing the standard of living of the people and increasing economic engagements for the players in the built sector.”
Lagos State was also awarded the Best State in the Nation in Housing Development.

The awards were received on behalf of the Governor and the State Government by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka and the Lagos State Ministry of Housing Permanent Secretary, Mr Wasiu Akewusola.
The award is coming on the heels of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu being awarded the Vanguard’s Personality of the year award.
