A 10-year-old pupil (name withheld) was said to have been gang-raped by her classmates during the World School Games held in Dubai between Thursday, March 10- Sunday, March 13, 2022.

The girls has since been suspended by her school, Chrisland Schools.

While speaking about the incident, Ubi Franklin, a popular Nigerian celebrity in a series of tweets via Twitter revealed that the young Nigerian girl, who is the daughter of his friend, was selected to represent her school in a sporting game in Dubai.

He added that while at the competition, the girl was raped, videotaped, and the video was posted on Instagram a month ago.

He also revealed that a pregnancy test was conducted and the school initially hushed up the case.

The father of the 10-year-old pupil disclosed that the school authorities at Chrisland School in Victoria Island Garden City suspended his 10-year-old for taking part in “improper behaviour” after playing the truth-or-dare game, describing her as a “major participant.”

The school said other schoolmates who took part in the game had been suspended, adding that the girl and her parents did not cooperate during its investigation.

“Consequently, [name redacted) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled, and rehabilitated,” the school said.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Education Office of Education Quality Assurance, the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, and the Ministry of Justice have suspended all the branches of the Chrisland Schools in Lagos State over the alleged defilement of a 10-year-old pupil of the school by her classmates during a school trip.
