Nnmadi Kanu is a pro-Biafra political activist, who has been in the custody of the Nigerian government for weeks and was supposed to appear in court but was absent.
Rita Edochie, a veteran actress asked the Nigerian Government to release him before the issue escalates.
She wrote in a post on Instagram "Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to avoid had I know. Allow us to go. We need Biafra. We can't keep being third-class citizens in our own land..."
The DSS also made it known that the reason for Nnamdi Kanu absence was due to logistics reasons.
