KSO distributes palliatives to Egbe-Idimu residents to cushion effect of subsidy removal

THE Executive Chairman of the Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo (KSO), on Thursday, August 17, 2023, distributed food palliatives to the residents of the LCDA to reduce the hardship of fuel subsidy removal.

During the distribution at the council secretariat, KSO said: “It is obvious the economic situation of Nigeria is witnessing a downturn, and all hands must be on deck to assist one another.”

He enjoined all and sundry to check on friends, neighbours, and family, reiterating that this is a trying period for Nigeria and many have already fallen into depression.

Furthermore, he promised that the palliative programme would be held monthly.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Bisi Bello from Egbe expressed gratitude to the Chairman for the kind gesture, bearing in mind the precarious situation of the country.
