Okun Alimosho graduates MediaPro trainees; unveils Alimosho Nigeria and Alimosho Festival’22

OKUN Alimosho, a non-profit organisation in Alimosho, has graduated the first set of trainees under the MediaPro Academy.

In a media chat with the Founder of Okun Alimosho, Mr Babatunde Oluwaseyi Adeola, he explained that the graduation which is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 08, 2022, at the Redi Studio, 11 Adeoti Street, Kwara Bus Stop Akowonjo, Alimosho, Lagos by 10 am prompt, will also feature the unveiling of the Alimosho Nigeria initiative and the plans for the year 2022 edition of the Alimosho Festival. 

Mr Adeola reiterates that “MediaPro is a forum for media practitioners whose goals are to project the community in relation to cultural resuscitation and community development. This forum offers a basic training program aimed to empower the youths with the basic media skills to gain access into the professionalism of Media.” 

The training, which ran for a period of four weeks, was designed for youth in the Alimosho LGA although the academy has the vision of expanding and replicating this initiative in other communities in Lagos and beyond. 

During the training, the trainees were trained on different aspects of technical media which included video editing, cinematography, photography, and graphics design.

The partners for the training include; D'Family, Damope Studios, Melody and KellyAnn. The host of the event is Ms Anuoluwapo Ogunbanjo, while the event is tagged ‘Alimosho 2030: Re-Engineering Culture.

When asked about the AlimoshoNigeria initiative, Mr Adeola said; “AlimoshoNigeria, a platform aimed to empower, educate and entertain, is structured to showcase and project the beautiful contents in Alimosho, from her landmass to her people, lifestyle, kingdoms and activities.”

He then concluded that the Alimosho Festival is about projecting Alimosho to the world and will, therefore, centre on empowerment, entertaining and educative programs and events.
