MAY 29: Let's promote peace for the good of all and future of our dear nation

Tinubu

WE are now three days away from the inauguration and swearing into office of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the President-elect. Recall that the journey to the actualisation of this day started over a year ago.

It is refreshing to know that through it all, our Nation stood strong, despite the violence that greeted the outcome of the polls in various locations. It is now a time for reconciliation, a time to shelve our swords and bury our hatchets in the interest of our dear Nation.

Yes, there are grievances. Cases are still pending before the court, but May 29 is sacrosanct. The constitution of our dear Nation allows for the swearing-in of the victorious, pending the outcome of legal battles at the courts.

As such, come May 29, the Nation will make a rebranded President who has promised 'Renewed Hope' for Nigeria and Nigerians. This is not the time to cause trouble; instead, it is a time for all of us to come together for a better Nigeria. I believe the President-elect will keep to his word, and Nigeria is walking towards greatness. Please, believe with me.

Kaokab
