Lagos govt, CACOVID reach out to senior citizens in Alimosho LG, others

Lagos State Government, in collaboration with the Nigerian Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID), has distributed food items to elderly citizens in various communities in the State, in celebration of Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary.

 Lagos State Government, in collaboration with the Nigerian Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID), has distributed food items to elderly citizens in various communities in the State, in celebration of Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary. 

The distribution team was led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Folashade Jaji. 

The coalition visited Okegun-Odofin, Egan in Alimosho Local Government,  Eti-Osa Local Government, Otto in Lagos Mainland Local Government and ljeododo in Ojo Local Government among others.

While handing over the State’s Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) palliative packages to the beneficiaries, the SSG said that the gesture was part of government's efforts at reducing the effect of the pandemic on the people.

She also added: "These materials are not just from the government alone. We also have the support of the private sector in order to ensure that the citizens do not suffer during the current pandemic period.”
