LAGOS 2023: Will tomorrow count? A question to ponder over!

“As we all move to the polls tomorrow, remember that your mission is to improve Lagos for you and your generation after you!”- Kaokab.

TOMORROW is the D-day. Tomorrow, we know who governs us at the state level. Tomorrow we know who represents our individual and collective interests at the State Parliament. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!

The outcome of the February 25 elections showed that votes will count! Contrary to widespread projections, even candidates of parties hitherto believed to have been 'mushroom' parties emerged victorious.

Lagos State is the beautiful bride of Nigeria. Every major thing in Nigeria is happening here. It is the epicentre of innovation, business, and technology.

Unlike other states, the yearly budget runs in trillions, and this is seen in the mammoth developmental policies and programmes geared towards the betterment of the lives of Lagosians which are unsurprisingly increasing on daily basis with many migrating to Eko.

If we don't get it right tomorrow, we would have gotten it wrong for the next four years. If the power falls into the hands of the wrong people as a result of our actions or inactions, it will result in failure at all levels.

If you believe Lagos is safer where it is, come out and vote. If you feel otherwise, still come out and vote. Your votes count and Lagos counts. As we all move to the polls tomorrow, remember that your mission is to improve Lagos for you and your generation after you!
