A former aspirant for the Alimosho Federal House of Representatives seat in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon. Adesina Egbetokun, who stepped down from contesting due to the APC party’s supremacy has declared that he only agreed to step down, despite his age, because the party’s supremacy superseded the individual's interest.

According to information reaching AlimoshoToday, Hon. Egbetokun declared that his major aim for contesting the green chamber position was to serve his people and not to enrich himself.

"Some people said that I don't have money to obtain the nomination form, it is laughable. I have the financial muscle and political influence to get the party ticket but I so much respect my leaders and once I had been thoroughly briefed about the party’s interest, I have no choice but to respect it. God's time is the best.

“I am due for the position but the decision of the party leadership and interest of the party should be respected at all times, no matter my position and my influence within the political circle and in the society at large, he said
