THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, on Thursday, September 2022, celebrated his 365 days in office amidst pomp and pageantry while also commissioning some completed developmental projects in the council area.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday states that the event began with the commissioning of the Arogundade/Quadri Street, Aboru which was done by Member, Lagos State (9th) House of Assembly representing Alimosho Constituency 02, Hon. Kehinde Joseph and accompanied by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharm. (Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf.
Kehinde Joseph, during the commissioning of the project, affirmed that Famuyiwa is not only doing well in infrastructural development, but is also providing quality leadership in the community, adding that the council Mayor is a sound, pragmatic, and accommodating leader who has the people’s interest at heart.
He then enjoined the community to take ownership of the roads by ensuring their proper and adequate maintenance.
The train of projects commissioning ended at the council secretariat (Babajide Sanwo-Olu Office Complex) dignitaries from the Alimosho Federal Constituency and Lagos State were present.
The event began at the arrival of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Ayinde.
In his welcome address, Hon. David Famuyiwa appreciated the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for giving his approval to the project construction while acknowledging the presence of his Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Ayinde, dignitaries, party leaders and members, cabinet members, legislative council, management and staff of the council area, family and friends at the commemoration of his one year in office and projects commissioning.
Famuyiwa then reiterated his administration's commitment to a better and greater Agbado Oke-Odo in the days ahead.
In his keynote address, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Ayinde said the occasion is a celebration of excellence, achievement and delivery of the dividends of democracy.
He went further to say that the ability of Hon. David Famuyiwa to hit the ground running after the assumption of office is a testament to his capacity while imploring him not to relent on his giant strides.
During the event, about 300 residents of the council area were empowered with sewing machines, gas cylinders and burners, grinding machines, hair dryers, clippers etc.
Dignitaries present at the event include the ALGON President and Conference 57 Chairman, Hon. Alabi Kolade David; Secretary, Conference 57 and Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon.
