Ministry of Local Government And Community Affairs inspects Agbado Oke-Odo projects

THE Project Monitoring Team of the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, who was on a project monitoring and evaluation visit to Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA on Thursday, September 8, 2022, inspected the ongoing road construction in the council area and expressed satisfaction with the proper utilization of funds in the construction of the 0.396km road at Quadri Street, Aboru.

Information reaching Alimoshotoday affirms that the four-man monitoring team, led by the Director of the Monitoring Office of the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr Raymond Ogunjobi, visited the completed Aboru road project; a project that was completed in four months and which was handled for the council area by Inter-Bemek Nigeria Ltd and supervised by the council’s Works and Infrastructure Department.

The project, which is yet to be commissioned by the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa is among several projects that have been completed along with Phase 2 of the Secretariat building, by his administration. 

At some of the project sites, the residents expressed their appreciation to the Chairman for his consideration in making life easier for them.

Quadri Street, Aboru

At Ibari Road in the Alagbado area of the LCDA, a resident, Alhaja Mojisola Alaba, said "The road, which serves as a link between Mosalasi and several communities in Alagbado will no doubt open the area for more commercial activities and ease the stress of commuters in the area.” 

She, however, enjoined the council Chairman to also provide street lights on the road for the security of the residents.

At Aboru, the Treasurer of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Alhaji Adewale Onabanjo, expressed his appreciation to the council boss for his giant strides in infrastructural development in the LCDA.

While receiving Mr Ogunjobi and his team in his office, Hon. Famuyiwa, on his part, expressed his happiness about the efforts of the ministry in putting all the Lagos State 57 Council Chairmen on their toes through adequate monitoring and supervision of projects.

The team was then taken around the ongoing and completed projects of the administration by the Council Engineer, Engineer Oluwatosin Akeju.
