THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa has joined party faithful, family, and colleagues to mourn the demise of the former South West APC Women Leader, Chief Kemi Nelson who passed on after a brief illness on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 66.

Famuyiwa, in his condolence message on Monday, July 18, 2022, said; “With a deep heart of grief and sorrow, I received the shocking news of the demise of a great woman, a political stalwart of class, a quintessential grassroots mobilizer, former Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Lagos State APC Women Leader, and Member, Lagos State Governor's Advisory Council (GAC), the super amazing Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson.

“Death is indeed a call which awaits every mortal being. Our focus should therefore be on the quality of life we will live, the impact we will have and the legacies we will leave behind.

“Yeye as fondly called lived a good life. She was a committed, hardworking, patriotic and selfless being who served with all diligence and without fear nor favour.

“Today, we mourn our fallen political juggernaut who gave her best in service to God and humanity. Her contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

“On behalf of the government and the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I commiserate with her family and friends, political members, APC Lagos State Chapter, and Nigeria at large over her demise. As we mourn her sad and painful exit, may Almighty God give her family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear her irreplaceable loss.”

“Rest on Yeye Nelson!”
