THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa has celebrated with the residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA in commemoration of Nigeria’s democracy day celebration.

The council boss, in his celebration message dated Sunday, June 12, 2022, wrote; “Today is a significant day in Nigeria. It commemorates the day that the most adjudged credible democratic election was annulled by the then government in power. It also signifies the restoration of democracy to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“May 29 was initially the official democracy day in Nigeria as established by the former President Olusegun Obasanjo when he took office as the President of Nigeria in 1999, ending the era of military rule that began in 1966 and had been interrupted only by a brief period of democracy from 1979 to 1983.

“It is on this note that I, on behalf of the government and good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, celebrate with every Nigerian and most especially my constituents on this beautiful occasion of democracy day.

“May I also use this medium to urge everyone to be security-conscious and also engage in all activities that will make Nigeria great again.”

“Celebrate Nigeria!”
