THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, on Saturday, July 9, 2022, celebrated with the Muslim faithful in the council area as they celebrate the year 2022 Eid-el-Kabir.

The council boss, in his celebration note, wrote; “Alhamdulillah, it is yet another Eid-il-Kabir Festival, the sacred season in Islam when Muslims perform the Hajj (Holy Pilgrimage) and commemorate the faithfulness and sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim.

“It is a day that signifies the Feast of Sacrifice for all Muslim Ummah, a day everyone rejoices, shows love to one another, gives alms to the needy, and merry with one another.

“On this auspicious day,  I implore all our Muslim faithful to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, unity, kindness, and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon Him) by ensuring we live peacefully amongst ourselves and shun all acts of violence.

“I urge everyone to merry wisely and be more security conscious during the holidays. Let us also use this period to preach and supplicate to Allah for peace, unity, prosperity, and stability in our dear and great country, Nigeria, amidst the challenges the Nation faces at the moment.

“May Allah accept your good deeds and sacrifices. May He alleviate your sufferings, forgive your transgressions, and replace your sorrows with joy just as He replaced Ismail with a ram.”

“Happy Eid-il-Kabir celebration to you all.”
