THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa celebrated with the Christian residents of the council area during the year 2022 Christmas day celebration.
The council Mayor in his Yuletide message said; “On behalf of my family and the government of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I wish all the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo a wonderful Christmas celebration as we commemorate the birth of the King of kings on this beautiful Sunday, December 25, 2022
“I congratulate all Christians for witnessing yet another Christmas season. Christmas is not just a time to engage in merry-making, rather it's all about sacrifice and love, which is in tandem with the teachings of Christ.
“I urge you in the joy of Christ Celebration to reach out to those who are different from us, yet one in the human family, by living the profound and universal lessons Jesus taught us - that we are to love our neighbours as ourselves. Let us, like Jesus, become true peacemakers, bringing the gift of peace to our homes, our schools, our communities, and our nation. Let us also remember to give new hope to the most impoverished, through our sacrificial giving.
“May I also admonish you all to use this festive period for sober reflections and total spiritual renewal and devotion towards living in peace and harmony. It is my prayer that we shall all witness many more of it in the land of the living in Jesus' name.
