Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA holds Year 2023 Budget Stakeholders Consultative Forum

THE Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, under the leadership of Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, on Friday, October 28, 2022, held its Year 2023 Budget Stakeholders Consultative Forum at the council secretariat. 

Information reaching Alimoshotoday affirms that the forum is aimed at planning towards the development of the LCDA by capturing the needs of the stakeholders across the seven wards of the council area in the preparation of the Year 2023 Budget. 

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa assured the residents of the council area that his administration will ensure that all earned resources are judiciously applied for the benefit of the people.

He went further to express his gratitude to the people of the LCDA whose immense support has contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of the LCDA thereby positioning the LCDA on a pedestal of enviable status in Lagos State. 

"However, in spite of the numerous economic challenges being faced by the nation, Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA accomplished a number of people-oriented and life-impacting projects and programmers in the year 2022. Some of the projects have been completed and delivered while a few others are nearing completion.

“Notable among these projects is the construction of the council secretariat, completion of Samuel Ajakaiye Road - Phase II, construction of Arogundade/Quadri Street, Aboru, rehabilitation of Inari Road/Old Otta Road, Alagbado, fencing of Community Nursery/Primary School, Ilapo, and flood control drainage at Rev. Dr Emmanuel Abunwa street."

He then enjoined everyone at the event to prompt family members, friends, neighbours, and business associates to pay their rates and levies to the coffers of the LCDA such that the proposed projects of the council for the year 2023 can be actualised.

On her part, the Head of the Department of Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs Mojisola Agbalajobi, commended the stakeholders for their deliberations while driving home the importance of the gathering.

In his remarks, the APC Southwest Organizing Secretary, Hon. Ibirogba applauded the council Chairman's effort in the infrastructural development of the council area and his display of good governance since he assumed office.

The Onimeran of Meiran, HRM Oba Samuel Adeyemi Oroja and the Alajasa of Ajasaland, HRM Oba Suberu Odu Alabe Sulaimon, appealed to Famuyiwa to embrace the traditional religion while stating its benefits to the development of the community. 

In his closing remarks and vote of thanks, the Supervisor for Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Hon. Gbemileke Adeyeni appreciated stakeholders for their presence and valuable contributions while bidding them farewell to their various destinations.

The highlight of the event was the stakeholders breaking into groups to decide on the projects that need attention in their various locations.
