Agbado Oke-Odo council boss orders immediate closure of Meiran health-centre

The Chairman of Agbado/ Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, Honourable David Famuyiwa, has ordered the immediate closure of the Meiran Primary Health Centre in the LCDA.

The Chairman of Agbado/ Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, Honourable David Famuyiwa, has ordered the immediate closure of the Meiran Primary Health Centre in the LCDA.

This is as a result of some members of staff of the health facility testing positive to the dreaded virus.

In a swift reaction to contain and avert the spread of corona virus in the communities, the LCDA Chairman ordered an immediate closure of the Primary Health Centre.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mosunmola Olabige, "the Chairman also ordered the immediate contact-tracing of their colleagues and associates, as well as patients who visited the facility in the last few days.

"He also used the medium to admonish the community members to take responsibility for their health and life by avoiding social events that attract large gatherings. They should also adhere strictly to the laid-down guidelines on the use of face masks, regular handwashing, the use of sanitisers and maintaining adequate social distancing while in public places in order to flatten the curve of the pandemic."
