1. YOUNG DOCTOR KILLED AS ELEVATOR CRASHES FROM 10TH FLOOR OF LAGOS HOSPITAL
A young female Nigerian doctor identified as Vwaere has reportedly been killed in an elevator accident at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Odan, Lagos. According to media reports, the deceased was said to have been on her way to the ground floor, where she was going to pick up a delivery from a dispatch rider.
2. FG ASKS GOOGLE TO DELETE 18 LOAN APPS FROM PLAY STORE
The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), has asked Google to delete 18 digital money lending companies’ (DMLs) apps from the Play Store over violation of registration rules.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the provision of buses to the students’ bodies of tertiary institutions across the country while also approving the removal of all restrictions on student loans to make it available to any student or household that may desire it.
5. ANTHRAX DISEASE HITS LAGOS, 6 INFECTED ANIMALS DESTROYED
The Lagos State Government has announced that six animals infected with the deadly Anthrax disease have been confiscated, burnt, and buried to prevent its spread, adding that the cases were discovered during the surveillance of animals on Lagos Island and Agege.
6. MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING LAPTOP AT LAGOS AIRPORT
A travelling passenger identified as Ogeneochuko David has been apprehended by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Aviation Security (AVSEC) at the Lagos airport for allegedly taking another passenger’s laptop from his bag in the overhead cabin during the boarding of Ibom Air flight Q1300 to Abuja.
