MIKEL Arteta has detailed how the Gunners can have an advantage over Manchester City and Liverpool in the EPL title race by playing first ahead of the other two.
The Gunners Boss believes that the Gunners can steal the league by playing before City and Liverpool as he believes that gives the team a huge psychological advantage.
The Gunners played first this week against Chelsea on Tuesday, which resulted in a 5-0 win while Liverpool has a Merseyside derby at Everton on Wednesday, and then City’s trip to Brighton on Thursday.
Arteta was asked about playing first and he replied: “That helps, that really helps because then you are winning your matches and making the margins smaller and smaller.
“That’s the only thing we can do at the moment because it’s not in our hands.
“Winning as a consequence of that and bringing the margins shorter and that’s something which is positive.”
Should this be the case, the Gunners could use the advantage as they play first in two out of the remaining four games of the season.
