THE Executive Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Bola Shobowale has presented 11 vehicles to Councillors and Supervisors in the council and one dispatch bike to pick up mail in other LGAs/LCDAs and service commission.
According to the council Boss, the vehicles presented to the beneficiaries will enhance their duties. She urged them to remain conscious of safety while judiciously using them to enhance their respective performances.
A Lexus 350 SUV 2010 model, two Lexus 350 SUV 2006 model, two Lexus SUV 2004 model, and Toyota Camry 2010 vehicles were presented to five serving Councillors and six (6) Supervisors at the council Secretariat in Igbogila.
“I want to urge the Councillors and the Supervisors to see these cars as part of their work tools and judiciously channel them into positive use. This is the first time we are witnessing such a huge democracy dividend; it’s indeed a new political agenda and a new face to grassroots governance," she said.
The council Boss also appreciated the All Progressives Congress (APC) party for the opportunity given to her and her team, as she promised to attract a democracy dividend, continued loyalty, and support to the party.
“We will strive to attract more respect and love and make the party the envy of the grassroots,” she added.
Present at the event was the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Ladi Oluwaloni, SLG, Prince Rotimi Akinniyi, and the Council Manager, Mrs Mojisola Ogabi, among others.
