FERSCOAT International Schools, in collaboration with Diamond Chess Service, recently organised a chess and scrabble competition for selected primary and secondary school students in the Alimosho LGA of Lagos State.
The Scrabble competition for primary students brought together 21 students from five schools, which include Multigrace Schools, Toysun Schools, Eagles Flight Schools, Ferscoat Schools, and Westminster Schools.
For the chess competition, 22 students participated from seven schools, including Multigrace Schools, Toysun Schools, Eagles Flight Schools, Ferscoat Schools, Grace E School, Earlylight Academy, and Westminster Schools.
The Most Outstanding Players for the primary school chess competition include Okenla Divine (Multigrace Schools), Omozopia Alvin (Multigrace Schools), and Chukwere Bryan (Grace E School). The Most Outstanding Players for the primary school Scrabble competition include Osunde Osas (Ferscoat Schools), Sunday Sweetness (Toysun Schools), and Adewunmi Ayomide (Multigrace Schools)
The chess competition ended with Multigrace Schools emerging as champions and Earlylight Academy and Eagles Flight Schools taking second and third place, respectively.
For Scrabble, Ferscoat Schools emerged as champions, while Toysun Schools and Multigrace Schools took second and third place, respectively.
Meanwhile, the chess competition for secondary students brought together 24 students from eight schools, which include Multigrace Schools, Toysun Schools, Elibel Schools, Ferscoat Schools, Doregos, Imperial Lights, Daisy Schools, and Westminster Schools.
For the Scrabble competition, 20 students participated from seven schools, including Multigrace Schools, Toysun Schools, Doregos, Ferscoat Schools, Imperial Lights, Daisy Schools, and Westminster Schools.
The Most Outstanding Players for the secondary school chess competition include Faluyi Damola (Multigrace Schools), Ibekwe David (Multigrace Schools), and Aladesuyi Evans (Ferscoat Schools). The Most Outstanding Players for the secondary school Scrabble competition include Konyinsola Lasaki (Multigrace Schools), Adebhie Joshua (Ferscoat Schools), and Adegbenjo Peter (Multigrace Schools),
The chess competition ended with Multigrace Schools emerging as champions with 12 points and Elibel (10 points), Doregos (nine points), and Ferscoat Schools (nine points) taking the second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
For Scrabble, Ferscoat Schools emerged as champions, while Multigrace Schools and Doregos took second and third place, respectively.
