SHOP-OWNERS and cyclists on Ogunlana Street in Egbeda have been lamenting over the effects of the bad road on their businesses, especially during this rainy season.

Mrs Olaitan Bada, a trader who owns a shop on the street told  AlimoshoToday:"When it rains, there are no sales. People will not come into the street because the road is bad and the dirt on the road could smear their clothes."

A man who pleaded anonymity simply said, "The effect of the road on my business is that if people are not passing by, nobody will patronise me".

Idris, a motorcyclist, was not left out of this ordeal. He told AlimoshoToday: "I wash my machine everyday. Even passengers always find it difficult to board because it will soil the tip of their clothing if it is a long outfit."
