TOYIN Peppeyo, aka Sisi Alimosho, on Thursday, August 3, 2023, introduced the year 2023 World Breastfeeding Week, stating that the week is usually celebrated during the first week of August to encourage breastfeeding among new mothers.
World Breastfeeding Week is used to create awareness and encourage new mothers to breastfeed their newborns exclusively for six months.
Sisi Alimosho, on her part, stated that some new-generation mothers do not want to breastfeed anymore.
“The essence of the week is to create awareness on the importance of breastfeeding for the first six months of the child’s life.”- Sisi Alimosho.
