THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, together with some Council representatives have met with the leadership of Oke-Odo Market following the recent chaos that occurred in the market.

During the meeting on Friday, May 3, 2024, the council Boss listed some rules and regulations for the leadership of the market, which take effect as the market reopens.9506

Hon. Famuyiwa has imposed an opening time of 6 am and a closing time of 7 pm on the market (Which is the Lagos State Standing Law). He also stated that every leader in all the sections of the market should provide a list of all their followers to know the number of people operating in the market.

All Associations must be fully registered. Offloading of goods will only be done whilst the market is open. All lotto/betting kiosks should be relocated. Head porters should be properly registered and regulated.9507

Sleeping in the market is no longer tolerated. Offenders will be apprehended and prosecuted. All tribes in the market should work together in harmony and shun all tribalistic tendencies. Failure to comply with the above will lead to further closing of the market.
